Job Purpose
To provide management oversight to the project controls team, including cost and planning on EPC projects, in addition to monitoring the performance of Consultants and Contractors for CLIENT as required. This is a Nuclear project. Candidates with Nuclear project experience would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- To contribute to the development, updating and maintenance of systems and procedures relating to Project Controls Plans, Basis of Schedule to include Project Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Progress Reporting, Progress Trending, Progress Certification, consistent with the CLIENT requirements.
- Deploy and manage resources to achieve financial and business objectives across multiple functional areas.
- Develop, track, update and report on the detailed delivery and installation schedule and budget.
- Following through active risk management, it protects the COMPANY and CLIENT Projects from unnecessary risks.
- Work closely with Quality Management to develop, track, update and report on the site quality control and assurance system.
- Organizes and ensures that potential project scope, schedule or budget changes are immediately identified and addressed.
- Manage Project Metrics including production and productivity rates and factors.
- Oversee, track, update and report on the detailed delivery and installation schedule and budget.
- Manage project review materials and financial forecasting, working with Project Controls.
- Plans, organise, coordinates, and controls the project in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Oversee reports such as Gantt charts, histograms, PERT charts, Baselines Schedules, S Curves & Progress reports, Critical Path Analysis.
- Maintain critical path method and analysis and ensure mitigation plans are proposed to management where appropriate.
- Liaise with CLIENT and associated companies to ensure business objectives are met, keeping them updated on progress, forecasts, and any applicable scheduling changes.
- Supervises daily activities of Project personnel including technical and administrative support and ensures that deliverables are produced on schedule and within budget.
- Provides leadership and direction for multiple functional areas or regions.
Skills / Experience
- Security Clearance is required. If the candidate is not in possession of this, the client will assist in seeking the Security Clearance.
- Must hold a UK passport.
- Good interpersonal and people management skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Data Analysis and Presentation: Good analytical, planning, organization, and reporting skills.
- Data Analysis and Presentation: Advanced Primavera skills and sound knowledge of other planning software and tools.
- Data Analysis and Presentation: Advanced Excel.
- Data Analysis and Presentation: Ability to produce Level -3 schedules, Manpower histograms, Gantt chart, S-curves with minimum guidance and supervision.
