Responsibilities
- You shall guarantee all site activities are performed safely and effectively, fully compliant with legislative and management system frameworks including Health and Safety at Work Act, COMAH Regulations, COSHH, and ISO standards.
- You will drive an active safety agenda, engage with Safety Committees, and foster a culture of zero lost-time accidents and ultimately no accident book entries.
- Take responsibility for implementing safety and loss control programs, ensuring high standards of housekeeping and operational discipline across all managed areas.
- Additionally, develop strong employee communications and engagement strategies to build a motivated and inclusive workforce, plan and direct maintenance activities to ensure facilities meet output and quality objectives safely and within budget, and ensure operational plant is fit for purpose through proactive maintenance and coordination with internal and external service providers.
- Lead the change agenda in safety, growth, service, and quality, sharing best practices to enable replication across sites, while managing costs effectively by setting plans and budgets, actively monitoring monthly performance to achieve forecast targets and reductions.

- Degree in an appropriate engineering or science discipline or HNC / HND NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- You are an experienced transformational leader with talent development skills, stakeholder engagement expertise, and the ability to operate in unionised environments while driving safety leadership in hazardous gas handling and production optimization.
- You will demonstrate resilience under high-pressure environments, clear and persuasive communication skills to align stakeholders with strategic goals, and strong financial acumen with experience in cost control and CAPEX case development and delivery.
- Furthermore, you have a track record of implementing lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant and workforce productivity.
