Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations of the plant.
- Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions when needed.
- Share a trusting relationship with the workforce and manage and develop plant staff.
- Collect and analyse production and performance data to drive improvements.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labour regulations.
- Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a production manager or in a similar managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources).
- Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in the last 5 years dealing with unions is essential ( at least participate in meetings )
