Key Responsibilities
- Produce electrical design deliverables, such as single line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and equipment layouts.
- Develop supporting documentation, including bills of materials and design packs.
- Lead designer responsibilities across various projects and proposals.
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level designers.
- Review and check designs to ensure quality and compliance.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver coordinated design solutions.
- Ensure all designs are safe, practical, and fit for purpose.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Designer in infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D modelling tools.
- Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and legislation.
- Experience across multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- HNC/HND, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification.
- Professional accreditation or working towards it is desirable.
