Due to recent project awards we are recruiting for a senior and lead structural consultant with offshore experience
Key Responsibilities
- Structural Analysis and Design:
- Perform detailed structural analyses for FPSO hulls, and Turret mooring systems using ANSYS and rule based calculations.
- Modelling and Simulations:
- Create 3D finite element models (FEM) for complex marine structures.
- Evaluate the effects of dynamic loads, such as wind, wave, and current forces.
- Code Compliance:
- Ensure designs meet relevant offshore codes and standards (e.g., DNV, ABS, ISO, API).
- Prepare documentation, calculations, and reports for client review and certification.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including naval architects, mechanical engineers, and installation leads.
- Attend client and project meetings to provide technical input and ensure project alignment.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Proficiency in structural analysis software, particularly ANSYS
- Proficient with offshore engineering principles, including hydrodynamic and environmental loads.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Report writing
- Communication and teamwork.
Proficient with design codes such as DNV, ABS, API, AISC and Eurocode
