Key Responsibilities
- Producing civil engineering design deliverables that meet safety, quality and technical standards
- Developing efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits
- Preparing calculations, reports, specifications and design risk assessments
- Directing and supporting CAD technicians, graduates and junior engineers
- Ensuring compliance with water company, industry and professional standards
- Managing design changes and ensuring they are fully implemented and recorded
- Estimating design hours and supporting programme planning
- Attending and presenting designs at HAZOP, ALM, KM and similar meetings
Requirements
- 5+ years' civil design experience within the UK regulated water industry
- Experience producing hydraulic calculations and hydraulic profiles
- HND, degree or equivalent experience from technician level
- Registered with a professional body and working toward chartership
- Strong technical capability, communication and organisational skills
- Experience across clean water, wastewater and infrastructure projects (desirable)
- Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
