We are working with a Global Chemical company in the North West that are recruiting for 5 Process Operators to start ASAP.
Salary: £29k plus 8 shift allowance plus bonus overtime pension – this salary will go up after training is completed.
Shift: 2 / 2 12 hour shift.
Responsibilities:
- Product knowledge, rundown and transfer routings, storage requirements.
- Emergency procedures, operation of fire pumps and mains on both sites.
- Pipeline and fence inspection.
- Maintain logs, update boards and give/take a full and accurate handover.
- Sample collection.
- Site pump operations.
- Daily and all operational tank dips.
- Tank temperatures with Standing Instruction requirement.
- Ensuring lines prepared for shipping movements.
Education and Experience:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Experience in Plant Operation.
- Computer literate with ability to operate and adapt to several software packages.
Personal Characteristics:
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Attention to detail.
Principal Challenges:
- To have a safe and environmentally responsible site.
- To meet all plant targets including steam and fuel.
