Power Risk engineer Permanent
Saudi / Qatar / Dubai
£110k - £135k net plus benefits
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a Global Insurance company that has been awarded work and recruiting for another 5 Power consultants to start Jan / Feb 2026
Develop & manage power risk engineering field survey programmes.
Perform operational and construction field surveys of our client’s conventional Power plants , CHP, hydropower and power stations
Meet client representatives of all departments to verify risk mitigation approaches
Advise clients with loss prevention recommendations
When leading the survey; presenting survey results to site management focusing on the risk analysis and recommendations, decision-making processes & conclusions
Advise clients on how to improve the risk quality of their organisations by influencing site and corporate loss prevention practices.
Key Measures/Dimensions
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (languages an advantage) in diverse environments.
Strong organisational and analytical skills.
Able to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Technical Skills/Competencies
- Mechanical or electrical degree
- Master / Chartership
- Good technical engineering & industrial experience.
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, standards, practices, procedures and techniques.
- Good knowledge of the application of Process Safety Management.
Experience
- More than 10 – 20 years experience of applying your engineering skills in industrial Power plants environments such as operations, technical support, inspection, maintenance, consultancy, projects & process safety management.
- Candidates working for consultancies will be sought for this role too
- Involvement in management/support of large projects such as major turnarounds and/or construction projects.
- Previous experience of working for a major insurance carrier or broker would be an advantage as would experience of assessing construction projects.
