Minimum Requirements

• At least a Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. mechanical / civil / electrical)

• 10 years prior industrial experience in the conventional power generation industry (i.e. gas fired / oil fired / coal fired) or BESS or Wind turbine

• 1 year prior experience of working as a risk engineer for a broker or insurer having led surveys for both operational and construction of power generation facilities

• Fluent in English
• Ability to travel freely around Europe/ America and ME region.
• Optional but looked favourably upon: Hold Chartership with a relevant authority (e.g. IMechE, EI, etc.); fluency another language such as French or Spanish

Key Roles / Responsibilities

• Risk engineering surveys across conventional power and renewables – approx. 30% operational and approx. 70% construction
• Development of new power risk engineering services and products
• Support RFPs & prospecting
• Technical leadership – training for other risk engineers (and brokers)
