Pipeline Engineering Manager Remote Operator
This is a fantastic Opportunity to work for a Global Operator delivering one of the largest Sustainability projects in the UK
The ideal candidate will have EPC / Detail Design exp as you will be overseeing the contractor
To support the successful delivery of the Project through:
- The delivery of the Projects engineering to the agreed policies, processes, and standards.
- Promote safe design of assets and structures, following the company’s specifications and standards, identify weaknesses or oversights and implement plans to close gaps
- Develop and deliver against the Engineering Management and Assurance plans for the Project
- Formalise the acceptance of the Projects engineering policies, processes, and standards with the Independent Engineering Authority for implementation on the Project
- Lead the internal review of engineering technical deliverables produced by the supply chain for use in the Project
- Prepare documents (for your area of responsibility) in line with project governance requirements for reviews at project milestone and stage gates.
- Lead the internal Project recommendation on progression through Project stage gates associated with engineering deliverables with documented assurance
- Provide regular written and verbal updates on the status of projects to the Project Manager and stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with the Project team to close out requirements from project governance reviews.
- Be responsible for the development of the engineering scope of the key contracts to be procured including the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning Contractors
- Working with others in the Projects management team to co-ordinate the Engineering deliverables with the delivery Contractors and Consultants including the commercial, schedule and risk aspects of delivery
Essential
Degree and Chartership
- Specific knowledge of UK or international pipeline design and material standards (IGEM, GIS, API, ASME, ISO, ASTM)
- Experience in the commercial and contract management of suppliers
- Project delivery/team experience in pipelines and/or process plants
- Experience in leading multidiscipline teams/consultants as engineering manager or similar
- Experience in operational support, front-end loading, construction and/or commissioning phases of process system and pipeline projects
