Operations Asset Manager – Power Plant / Power Generation / CHP/ Power Stations / Hydro
£95k – £125k plus car allowance bonus holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Accountable Person Power Plants, ensuring compliance with Operating Standards, SHEQ, and legislative requirements.
- Lead and manage operational and maintenance teams to achieve safety, efficiency, and performance goals.
- Build and maintain effective client relationships to ensure safe, efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and deliver annual operating and business plans, ensuring clear communication and understanding across teams.
- Plan, control, and optimise budgets, contracts, and CAPEX projects to enhance site safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with authorities and stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and community engagement.
- Support business growth and share best practices in the plant managers\’ forum.
- Oversee outages, critical maintenance, and provide emergency call-out support as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Hold a degree or HND equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline.
- Possess substantial experience ( 10 years min ) in the Power industry – Steam and Gas turbine
- Demonstrated expertise in managing energy-related assets effectively.
- Proven track record of operating at a senior management level within equivalent industries.
- Capable of strategic-level thinking while maintaining the ability to manage day-to-day operations and performance
- Extensive experience in team and site management, including performance management, coaching, and managing staff absence.
- Confident in attending power plant sites during ongoing operations, able to assess situations, take control, and actively engage to drive optimal outcomes.
