I am currently looking to speak with Operations Manager for our client based in Nottinghamshire Salary £50,000 – £55,000 + Pension + Onsite Site Background Oversee all aspects of the Biomass Power Plant, ensuring optimal safety, availability, efficiency, and power output. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily safe and efficient operation of Plant. Perform Senior Authorised Person (SAP) duties per ensuring safe isolation and preparation of equipment for maintenance. Actively engage in daily Work Control meetings to coordinate plant performance and maintenance tasks. Conduct fault diagnosis and corrective actions on all plant systems and perform minor maintenance tasks. Supervise and deploy manpower for safe and cost-effective operations. Maximise steam production to meet/exceed generation targets. Monitor/control plant operations from the Control Room, ensuring operational demands are met. Provide technical supervision, training, and competence monitoring for staff. Maintain compliance with EA and Ofgem regulations and assist in SOP improvements. Log activities, ensure water/steam quality, report defects, and uphold housekeeping standards. Minimum Requirements Recognized apprenticeship or engineering qualification. Hands-on experience in operations or maintenance in power generation, EfW, marine, petrochemical, or process systems. Proficient in operating plant via DCS/SCADA.
