Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment
Location: London / Remote
Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Sector: Power Generation (CCGT)
Duration: Approximately 9 months (mix of full-time and part-time)
Key Responsibilities
- Review gas turbine (GT) and steam turbine (ST) design, performance, and arrangement for large CCGT projects (500MW+).
- Check turbine auxiliary systems and interfaces.
- Assess vendor performance guarantees.
- Evaluate turbine bids as part of pre-execution screening.
- Report findings and recommendations to the client.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience on large-scale CCGT projects (500MW+).
- Around 15 years' engineering experience, ideally in power generation.
- Strong background in gas turbines and steam turbines.
- Experience in design review or as an owner's engineer.
- Able to attend occasional meetings in London.
