Work Pattern: 1 Week On / 1 Week Off | Monday – Friday | 12-Hour Shifts
We are looking to speak with experienced professionals for an Offshore / Marine Coordinator role based out of Grimsby, supporting a flagship offshore wind project. This is a rotational role (1 week on / 1 week off) focused on offshore logistics, people tracking, emergency response, and coordination of vessel and helicopter movement.
You’ll play a vital part in the safe and efficient access to offshore wind assets, working closely with site planners, vessel operators, and other marine stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the green energy transition while operating at the heart of marine logistics and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all vessel and helicopter traffic in line with daily plans
- Act as Operational Controller under the safe-system-of-work (UK-specific)
- Respond to emergency communications and escalate per protocol
- Track personnel, vessel positions, and communication logs
- Maintain and update WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) access restrictions
- Optimise vessel utilisation and manage unexpected daily changes
- Input data into reporting systems (e.g., Wind Farm Reporter) in real-time
- Monitor weather systems, interpret data, and inform planning decisions
- Liaise with marine and port authorities, local stakeholders, and relevant operators
- Issue notices to mariners and ensure accurate communication across all parties
- Manage daily interface with weather system providers and resolve data issues
- Review vessel performance data to support planning efficiency (e.g., fuel use)
- Record operational metrics and hazardous observations via HSE systems
- Maintain valid offshore and safety certifications and competencies
- Participate in HSE training and promote a culture of safety and control
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Essential:
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable:
- Previous experience in marine coordination or control room operations
- Familiarity with safe systems of work and incident control
- Experience using SAP or similar operations systems
- Offshore or renewable energy industry experience
- Radio operations experience
