Role Overview

Take a lead in approving EICA design deliverables across water-sector projects. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, support site activities, and ensure all outputs meet safety, quality, and technical standards while following established design processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of design deliverables, overseeing, reviewing and approving documentation across all lifecycle stages
  • Coordinate closely with clients, contractors and sub-contractors to ensure clarity on scope and delivery
  • Develop electrical load schedules and specify MCCs, telemetry, and instrumentation systems
  • Prepare scopes of work, support technical bid evaluations, and oversee sub-contract design packages
  • Provide technical input during site surveys, installation, and commissioning activities
  • Ensure all work aligns with WIMES and relevant UK/international standards
  • Champion safety, sustainability, and best practice across all design activities
  • Support multidisciplinary collaboration and maintain strong communication channels

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or advanced apprenticeship in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer or actively working toward chartership with a relevant institution
  • Proven background in EICA design for water or wastewater projects
  • Experience reviewing and approving construction and installation documentation
  • Working knowledge of UK regulations including ATEX, CE/UKCA, EMC, and PED
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative, proactive, and organised approach
