Process Controls Engineer Permanent 60k
What you will do:
- Provide process control (applications) engineering support to the plant
- Develop and implement basic regulatory and advanced process control applications to improve the performance of facilities
- Develop engineering solutions using advanced automation tools to improve the effectiveness of process control applications
- Sustaining and enhancing existing process control applications for value maximization
- Supporting and leading engineering assessments, engineering design, process troubleshooting, applications performance analysis and applications risk assessments
- Maintenance, modification and installation of instrument loops for base control applications and advance control applications.
- Initiate/support changes in technology or work practices to improve plant reliability, safety and profitability
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement to plant processes
About you
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Engineering Bachelors’ degree with strong preference for Chemical Engineering
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in petrochemical / chemical / refinery processing technologies
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory and advanced control technologies
- Experience with model predictive control, preferably DMC
- DCS Base Control knowledge preferably Honeywell Experion
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and communicate as part of a team responding to competing priorities and stakeholders
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
