Process Controls Engineer Permanent 60k

What you will do:

  • Provide process control (applications) engineering support to the plant
  • Develop and implement basic regulatory and advanced process control applications to improve the performance of facilities
  • Develop engineering solutions using advanced automation tools to improve the effectiveness of process control applications
  • Sustaining and enhancing existing process control applications for value maximization
  • Supporting and leading engineering assessments, engineering design, process troubleshooting, applications performance analysis and applications risk assessments
  • Maintenance, modification and installation of instrument loops for base control applications and advance control applications.
  • Initiate/support changes in technology or work practices to improve plant reliability, safety and profitability
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement to plant processes

About you

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Engineering Bachelors’ degree with strong preference for Chemical Engineering
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience in petrochemical / chemical / refinery processing technologies

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with regulatory and advanced control technologies
  • Experience with model predictive control, preferably DMC
  • DCS Base Control knowledge preferably Honeywell Experion
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and communicate as part of a team responding to competing priorities and stakeholders
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
