Key Responsibilities:
- Control DCS/SCADA inputs to achieve daily oil production and gas import/export targets.
- Optimise station performance and correct abnormal conditions before escalation.
- Coordinate operator activities across the station and wellsites during each shift.
- Liaise directly with oil export customers regarding expected rates and quality.
- Manage day-ahead communication with the electrical power supply provider.
- Supervise the Permit to Work system in the Shift Superintendent's absence.
- Delegate and track first-line maintenance on gas and utility equipment.
- Produce detailed shift handovers, both written and verbal, to ensure continuity.
- Deputise as Incident Controller for abnormal or emergency situations.
- Support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting through the site's reporting systems.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years' experience supervising, operating, or maintaining an oil and/or gas production facility.
- ONC or BTEC ordinary certificate in an engineering discipline, or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 in Process Operations.
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Oil and Gas Safety.
- Practical experience with distributed control, IT, and safety systems.
- Ability to read and translate PFDs, P&IDs, and schematics into operating procedure.
- Confident communicator across all levels, from operators to emergency services.
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
