Role Overview:

Seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join a London-based team. The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems for oil and gas facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment for oil & gas projects
  • Conduct load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protective device coordination
  • Develop technical specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with UK and international electrical codes and safety regulations
  • Provide technical support during commissioning and start-up of facilities
  • Prepare reports, technical documentation, and project progress updates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering within the oil & gas industry
  • Knowledge of UK electrical standards (BS, IEC) and oil & gas regulations
  • Experience with power distribution systems, switchgear, motors, transformers, and control systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Health, safety, and environmental awareness

Desirable:

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it
  • Experience with offshore platforms or subsea electrical systems
