Job Overview: We are seeking two Lead Electrical Engineers with hands-on operational, site, or plant experience to provide specialist electrical engineering support in a large-scale industrial environment. The role involves advising process and maintenance teams, supporting projects, and ensuring electrical systems are safe, reliable, and optimised for operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist electrical engineering advice and recommendations to process and maintenance teams on day-to-day operational matters
  • Ensure electrical supply meets demand and support investigations into equipment failures
  • Develop equipment strategies and recommend reliability improvements
  • Provide professional electrical engineering support for projects, including preparation of screening studies, design bases, and specifications for specialist projects
  • Advise management on electrical safety, infrastructure, and technology issues
  • Conduct troubleshooting and fault-finding activities
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Significant electrical engineering experience in an operational environment, ideally at COMAH facilities, power plants, or similar industrial operations
  • Candidates with EPC design experience may be considered if they have operational, field, or site experience and are looking to work client-side

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems in industrial facilities
  • Hands-on experience with plant or site electrical operations
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills to work with management and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements
