As our Senior Principal Electrical Engineer you will be:
- Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager and leading the electrical scope of work on a range of proposals and projects performed in the EMEAI region.
- Assigning tasks to Electrical Engineers and Designers, providing supervision and technical expertise to ensure delivery against time and quality constraints.
- Forecasting, managing and reporting work hours associated with the Electrical scope on the project.
- Liaising with existing suppliers and outsourcing partners, seeking additional partners to make valuable contributions to both Air Products and customer projects.
- Defining execution models for electrical engineering scope, monitoring performance and developing improved processes where appropriate based on lessons learned.
You will have:
- An Electrical Engineering degree plus Chartered Engineer status, or actively pursuing Chartered status.
- HV knowledge and experience (higher than 20 kV).
- Experience with large motors (higher than 10 mW) – experience on design, specifications, purchase.
- Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Electrical studies (low flow, short circuits, motor starting, arc flash, stability).
- HV equipment – large transformers, switchgears.
- SKM (software used in AP).
- Experience managing people (ideally in remote environments).
- Experience on project schedule.
