The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 Β£ per year.

Our client is a Global Insurance company that recently has 2 retirees and therefore we are looking for 2 Risk engineers to start as soon as possible.

Requirements:

  • MEng in either Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical / Process Engineering.
  • Have previously worked in an oil and gas exploration and production company and have significant experience in Refinery, Petrochemical or Chemical Manufacturing production operations, Process Safety Reliability Maintenance or Inspection or have worked in an equivalent risk consulting position.
  • Forward thinking, agile and with an ability to apply a problem-solving approach to risk management.
  • Comfortable working autonomously, you are curious and a highly motivated self-starter with good relationship skills and are a great team player.
  • Fluent in English - other languages are a plus.
  • Experience of the insurance industry preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • To attend risk engineering surveys and deliver risk improvement recommendations that will assist the client in managing risk to acceptable levels.
  • Continual learning through a thirst for knowledge to support the engineering team’s understanding of new and existing technologies. Recent examples of this include developing a deep understanding of carbon capture technologies, renewable hydrogen production facilities and geothermal projects.
  • This role provides opportunities to broaden beyond traditional oil and gas activities.

Position Remote if based in UK with Travel.
