Mechanical Engineer - Static Equipment (Contract)

Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Sector: Power Generation | CCGT | Design Review
Duration: Approximately 9 months (mix of full-time and part-time)
Key Responsibilities
- Review HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) and air-cooled condenser (ACC) design and performance for large-scale combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) projects (500MW+).
- Check pressure parts, vessels, and heat exchangers for compliance and performance.
- Assess vendor guarantees and fabrication approaches.
- Evaluate static equipment bids before project execution.
- Report findings and recommendations to the client.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience on large-scale CCGT projects (500MW+).
- Around 15 years of engineering experience, ideally within power generation.
- Hands-on experience with HRSG and/or ACC equipment.
- Background in design review or as an owner's engineer.
- Ability to attend occasional meetings in London
