Oil & Gas / Chemical / Petrochemical. LNG / LPG / Onshore / Chemical manufacturing / Refinery / Petrochemical. This is a home-based role supporting assets.
Salary: £58k - £62k plus 6% bonus, pension, holidays, private health care. Great training and career progression.
Working Hours: 37 Hours Permanent. Interviews week 26th Jan. Start date ASAP. Closing date Friday 16th Jan 2026.
Duties:
- Leads in influencing and shaping the statutory, regulatory and company standards framework with respect to engineering and ensures all required statutory documents are in place.
- Provide advice and sign off on risk assessments and hazard mitigations plans for discipline, including LOPA and SIL.
- Participates in incident investigations as required.
- Ensure that the learning from incident reviews and investigations are communicated with action plans delivered.
- Supports research and technology development related to engineering assets, driving benefits into the business.
- Provide technical expertise to support innovation projects and field trials.
- Identifies the scope for continuous improvement of safety and business performance in areas of engineering practice.
- Develops, recommends and implements improvements to engineering processes to improve efficiency or the quality of the service provided to stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance an effective network of internal and external contacts to ensure business and engineering requirements are met.
- Identifies and promotes best practice with operational and delivery teams, driving standardisation across the company.
Essential:
- A sound understanding of C&I process system operations, knowledge of current regulations and policy which affect the management and operations of process plant engineering assets.
- The ability to investigate issues, determine root cause and apply engineering resolutions to complex C&I process systems, demonstrating compliance to change management processes.
- Site experience in either engineering support, operational, construction or commissioning phases.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings including piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), single line drawings, cause & effects.
- Uses many sources of information (own knowledge, document libraries, standards, surveys etc) to make sound engineering judgements to problems.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain policies, procedures and specifications related to C&I.
- Good communicator and influencer.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and hold a UK driving license.
