Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and assist the Plant Manager in the day-to-day running of the site.
- Deputise as site landlord, ensuring monitoring and maintenance of site infrastructure and fixed assets, and that engineering standards are adhered to.
- Coordinate site production and maintenance activities within defined budgets and targets, ensuring safety and compliance with legislation and management system frameworks.
- Provide cover for Production Shift Managers when required.
- Manage asset control, administration and site security resources and processes, including visitor inductions and emergency response.
- Coach a team of Production Shift Managers, Shift Supervisors, Asset control and the plant maintenance team to meet objectives and development plans.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, internally and externally.
Qualifications
- HNC or HND qualification (or committed to complete if not qualified).
- NEBOSH/IOSH Certificate (or equivalent) or committed to complete if not qualified.
- Previous management experience in an industrial setting, with experience in people management and development (advantageous).
- Experience engaging and working with recognised Trade Unions and applying policies and procedures including disciplinary matters in line with Trade Union National Agreements.
- Demonstrable track record in managing and motivating personnel, with ability to communicate at all levels and build positive relationships with stakeholders such as Trade Union representatives.
