A leading international entertainment and digital content business is seeking an experienced commercial media lawyer to support its expanding advertising, media sales and content monetisation activities across YouTube, FAST channels, connected TV, streaming platforms and other digital media services. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working alongside business teams to develop innovative advertising and partnership models while navigating an evolving regulatory landscape.

The successful candidate will provide pragmatic legal advice that enables growth while ensuring compliance with advertising, consumer and privacy laws.

The Opportunity

Working as a trusted adviser to commercial, advertising, distribution and content teams, you will support the negotiation and execution of a broad range of revenue-generating partnerships and advise on the legal and regulatory issues affecting modern digital media businesses. Your work will include advising on:

  • Digital advertising and media sales arrangements
  • Sponsorship, branded content and commercial partnerships
  • YouTube monetisation and platform requirements
  • FAST channel and connected TV advertising models
  • Streaming and digital video monetisation strategies
  • Platform terms, advertising policies and compliance obligations
  • Influencer marketing and endorsement campaigns
  • Rights clearances and content usage matters
  • Privacy, consumer protection and advertising regulation across the UK, Europe and the US

You will also help identify and manage legal and commercial risks relating to insertion orders, IAB terms, agency agreements, media sales documentation, platform requirements and wider advertising ecosystem issues.

About You

You will be a qualified lawyer and have significant in-house experience supporting digital media, advertising or technology businesses. You will have developed strong expertise in commercial media transactions together with a detailed understanding of advertising regulation, sponsorship, platform monetisation and digital content businesses. Just as importantly, you will be comfortable partnering closely with commercial stakeholders, offering clear, practical advice that supports strategic objectives. Experience gained with broadcasters, streaming services, digital publishers, technology platforms, ad-tech businesses, media agencies or other consumer-facing content companies will be highly regarded.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience advising on digital advertising, media sales and commercial partnerships
  • Strong knowledge of advertising, consumer protection and privacy laws across the UK, EU and US
  • Familiarity with YouTube, FAST channels, connected TV, streaming platforms and digital video ecosystems
  • Experience advising on sponsorship, branded content, influencer marketing and platform monetisation
  • Excellent commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to legal risk
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international business teams
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to translate complex legal issues into practical, business-focused guidance
