We are looking for a talented competition lawyer to join this premium media and communications brand. The Competition & Regulatory team supports a broad range of fast-moving businesses and you will enjoy a wide variety of high-quality work and further develop your competition law expertise on cutting-edge matters.
You will advise on behavioural and transactional matters (horizontal and vertical agreements, investigations and reviews etc) and support negotiations and M&A activity as required. You will also advise on regulation and help develop regulatory strategy, responses to proposals for new legislation and policy interventions.
You will regularly liase with regulators, including Ofcom, CMA and other agencies and design/deliver relevant training to the business and the wider legal team.
We are looking for lawyers with good academics and training, solid competition law experience (particularly advisory, although competition litigators with a background in competition advisory could also be considered) at an established law firm/ in-house team/ regulator and a UK legal qualification.
This business is an excellent home for intellectually curious, collaborative and pro-active team-players and there are plenty of opportunities to progress and develop across the wider Legal & Compliance team. Secondments between legal departments are frequent and there are also opportunities to move to more business focussed roles in due course as well. The work/life balance is very good and there is flexibility to structure this as a full time role, 9 days in 10, or even 4 days per week for the right candidate.
