SENIOR FINANCE LAWYERS: DO YOU LOVE THE LAW BUT WANT TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE CRIPPLING HOURS AND MARKETING PRESSURES OF FEE EARNING TRANSACTIONAL WORK? HYBRID OR REMOTE ROLE 4 OR 5 DAYS A WEEK We are working with the leading online know-how service providing resources, such as practice notes, current awareness and standard documents to help legal professionals work smarter and advise with confidence. It is one of the world’s most trusted providers of know-how across law, tax, compliance, government and media. We are looking to recruit 2 experienced lawyers into their Finance team. These are non-fee earning, non-practicing roles, very much akin to a Senior PSL position: they will involve a lot of writing, excellent hours, and flexibility to work from home/remotely (other than 1 day per week in the office under normal circumstances). We are looking for senior lawyers with at least 5 years’ (and potentially a lot more) relevant PQE in transactional finance (lending and security) who are well-versed in a high volume of deals within private practice, love drafting and the technical side of the law and getting to grips with underlying legal issues, but have had enough of the hours, unpredictability and BD pressures! One role will focus on lending and security matters (including leveraged finance – from a banking OR a non-banking lending perspective, and funds). The other role will focus on project finance. We are not looking for derivatives, capital markets or regulatory lawyers as these areas are covered already within the team. Unlike some traditional PSL or in-house roles, these roles enjoy great status and are at the very heart and engine of the business itself. You will join a supportive team of c. 10 on the Finance side, all with great professional backgrounds and credentials. The compensation package will be very competitive for a non fee earning role and will include bonus, excellent pension etc. If you are interested in keeping your technical legal skills, doing interesting and intellectually rewarding work in an incredibly flexible environment with fantastic work/life balance and decent remuneration please let me know ASAP!
