Our client is a non-traditional advertising and creative agency group that does things differently. Fiercely proud of its independence and creative family, it has a global presence across Europe, North America and Asia and works with a selection of fantastic brands.
The Legal & Business Affairs team is a close-knit team of 8 individuals who work incredibly well together. The business wishes to hire a Legal Counsel, who will report into the Head of Legal. The group includes a number of businesses in advertising, PR, design and in-house production and film businesses. No two days are the same and the legal team have the ear of the stakeholders by adopting a solutions-oriented approach to problem solving. “No” is never the answer!
The Role
- Contracts with third parties such as clients, talent and production partners and other suppliers to the business;
- Advisory work, particularly around clearing advertising ideas and executions, and risk-assessing new tools e.g. AI and emerging technologies;
- Ad hoc local and global projects.
The Successful Candidate
We are looking for great lawyers with c. 4 years' PQE and above (this is indicative and candidates with relevant experience in advertising work outside this range will be considered). Relevant experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts autonomously (particularly within the advertising / marketing and media sector), with good working knowledge of IP and advertising law (clearance and compliance) is a must. You will be a UK fully qualified lawyer and previous experience in the advertising/creative industry/agency space will be very helpful.
