A globally recognised, independent creative agency is looking for a commercially minded US-qualified attorney to join its Legal & Business Affairs team in London. This is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of a business known for producing some of the most innovative and culturally impactful work in the industry. With an international footprint spanning the US, Europe and Asia, the role offers broad exposure across a diverse portfolio of agencies, production businesses, and venture projects.
The Opportunity
You will join a close-knit, collaborative legal team supporting a fast-moving, ideas-driven business. The role has a strong international dimension, with a particular focus on supporting US operations, alongside global advisory and project work. The position spans three core areas:
- Commercial & Production Contracts – drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of agreements with clients, talent, production partners and suppliers
- Advisory – providing clear, pragmatic advice on advertising clearance, IP, regulatory compliance, and emerging areas such as AI and new technologies
- Strategic & Ad Hoc Projects – supporting business initiatives, creative campaigns, and wider group activities
Your Remit will include
- Negotiating client/agency MSAs from pitch stage through to execution
- Advising on production agreements (talent, influencers, music licensing, photographers, etc.)
- Reviewing commercial agreements including tech, AI platforms and supplier contracts
- Supporting US operations as well as other international offices
- Providing day-to-day advice on IP, advertising law, consumer protection and data issues
- Helping enable creative work by finding solutions rather than blockers
- Contributing to process improvement and development of legal precedents
About You
- US-qualified lawyer with experience working in the UK
- Strong background in commercial contracts, ideally within advertising, media, or marketing
- Solid working knowledge of IP and advertising law, including clearance and compliance
- Commercially astute, pragmatic, and solutions-focused
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, non-corporate environment
- Collaborative, personable, and able to build relationships across creative and business teams
- A sense of humour and willingness to embrace a less traditional legal environment
