An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the legal and business affairs team of a highly regarded independent film and television studio with an outstanding international reputation. Working across development, production, financing, sales and distribution, the business partners with leading writers, directors, producers and on-screen talent to deliver ambitious, commercially successful content for global audiences.

This is a broad and varied role offering exposure across the full life-cycle of scripted film and television projects. You'll work closely with senior legal and business affairs executives, providing commercially focused legal support on high-profile productions as well as strategic corporate initiatives.

  • Supporting production teams on a wide range of production legal matters, including talent, crew, location and other third-party agreements.
  • Negotiating and drafting key talent agreements, including producer, director and lead cast agreements.
  • Maintaining and updating precedent documentation, templates and legal guidance in line with current law and best practice.
  • Advising on a broad range of commercial, contractual and dispute-related matters as they arise.

Qualified solicitors with legal and business affairs experience gained within the film or scripted television industry; Corporate, finance or transactional lawyers from leading private practice firms with a genuine passion for film and television and a desire to move in-house.

Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical commercial advice.
