A leading global entertainment company producing premium content across television, film, digital, audio, live events and branded entertainment is seeking an experienced media lawyer to join the BLA team in London.
The company operates across the UK and US with an integrated transatlantic legal and business affairs function supporting a fast-moving, creatively ambitious and commercially sophisticated business.
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will play a central role across the company’s global production, development, distribution and corporate operations. This is a senior, broad-ranging role supporting scripted and unscripted productions, digital content, branded entertainment, talent partnerships and strategic commercial initiatives across an international media business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Negotiating and drafting production, distribution, talent and brand partnership agreements
- Advising on IP, rights, clearance and compliance matters
- Supporting corporate, strategic partnership and M&A activity
- Partnering closely with creative, commercial and operational teams
- Driving adoption of AI tools and legal technology across the legal function
Candidates should be:
- England & Wales qualified solicitors (or equivalent) with c.5–7+ years’ PQE
- Experienced in entertainment, media, IP or commercial legal work
- Strong drafters and negotiators with excellent commercial judgement
- Interested in digital media, content, talent and emerging technologies
The role combines high-level transactional work with broader corporate and strategic legal responsibilities and would suit a commercially minded entertainment lawyer comfortable operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
