We have an exciting role with one of the UKβs leading TV production companies, who have created some truly amazing original scripted drama and comedy over the years.
About the Role
You would work closely with the production team and the legal and business affairs team and support on all of the legal and business affairs operations across all programming. The role is full-time with 4 days in the office, and you will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
Responsibilities
- Overseeing legal trackers
- Ensuring smooth processes and that precedents are updated
- Assistance with all aspects of negotiating and drafting production and development agreements (including writer shopping agreements, location agreements, clearances, writer room agreements, and service agreements).
- Providing day-to-day support on all allocated programmes, including support with bespoke contracting for talent contracts, templates, and assisting production teams with any legal matters that arise, as well as location agreements, crew contracts, and other third-party rights agreements.
- Supporting with best practice process, protocols and guidance notes.
Qualifications
- A qualified solicitor or BAE (gained within a scripted TV environment would be a preference but we will consider candidates from the wider TV, film or broadcasting industry)

- A good understanding of relevant laws with a great eye for detail
- Willing to learn and comfortable learning new skills.
- An enthusiasm for working as part of a tight-knit team, in a fast-moving, small, yet dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a scripted TV environment

- Contract: FTC (9 months commencing March 2025 with possibility of extending to 12 months)
