This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of premium drama development and production, providing legal and business affairs support across a slate of bold, globally focused television projects.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Commercial and Legal Director and working closely with development, production, finance teams, and external partners, you will play a key role in supporting the legal and business affairs functions across all programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal and business affairs support to development teams, including negotiation and drafting of book option agreements, writer agreements, and broadcaster development contracts.
  • Advise on guild and union matters, drafting relevant talent and crew agreements where applicable.
  • Assist in negotiating and drafting agreements for broadcaster deals, co-productions, and other programming-related contracts.
  • Deliver day-to-day legal production support on assigned titles, including advising on legal templates, drafting bespoke production agreements, and managing third-party rights contracts.
  • Contribute to best-practice legal protocols and documentation to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external production partners.
  • Monitor legal and industry developments, updating internal teams as necessary.
  • Work alongside the Commercial and Legal Director to ensure efficient legal processes, compliance, and the safeguarding of commercial interests.

  • Qualified solicitor with substantial experience in a scripted television environment.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles applicable to high-end scripted television, including IP and talent rights.
  • Adaptable and eager to develop new skills in a fast-moving production landscape.
