This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in an ever-expanding food and wine destination, with the creative freedom to shape menus, grow produce, and cook in tune with the seasons.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who share a strong love of seasonal, produce-led cooking and who bring experience from high-quality restaurant environments across a range of culinary disciplines.

As Head Chef, you will have the freedom to think creatively and collaboratively, designing menus that reflect the changing seasons and complement our own wine list. This year we are expanding our market gardens, with plans to work directly alongside the Head Chef to grow regeneratively farmed produce specifically for the restaurant. This is a rare opportunity to influence what is grown, how it is grown, and how it appears on the plate.

Key responsibilities:
  • Leading, mentoring, and motivating a small kitchen team
  • Creating seasonal menus inspired by our vineyard, gardens, and wine list
  • Working closely with the garden and vineyard teams on menu planning and produce use
  • Managing kitchen operations, stock control, food costs, and ordering
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
  • Ensuring excellent food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation
About you:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or a strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
  • A passion for seasonal, sustainable, and produce-driven cooking
  • Confident leading a small team in a calm, supportive, and professional manner
  • Curious, creative, and excited by the opportunity to grow and cook with your own produce
  • Organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a rural / vineyard setting
What we offer:
  • Competitive salary and fair, considered working hours
  • A relaxed, kind, and professional working environment
  • Creative freedom and genuine input into menu development
  • The opportunity to work with regeneratively grown, on-site produce
  • A unique chance to grow alongside a business that is continuing to expand and evolve
