The Role

Employer: Purdy Contracts Ltd

Location: Norfolk and Suffolk

Working Times: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Salary: £8.60 per hour

Equipment provided: Uniform

Our Expectations

You will be placed with experienced Multi Trade Operatives within the business to learn trade skills and start your career within the property maintenance field. Successful applicants will undertake a L2 Property Maintenance Operative qualification with a local training provider, as appropriate. This is usually completed by on-the-job training, completing exercises set by the College (in work time), and on-site assessment from a College Assessor. You will also be required to attend College once a week as a minimum for which you will be paid. The working hours are typically 08:00 to 17:00 to suit business needs. You will be required to have GCSE Level 4 or above in Maths and English.

Efficient time-keeping and punctuality skills: You are expected to manage your time effectively, ensuring you meet deadlines, attend work or college on time, and maintain a good balance between your study and work responsibilities.

Positive attitude to learn: a positive, proactive attitude toward learning and development. This means being open to feedback, eager to acquire new skills, and showing initiative in your personal and professional growth. You should demonstrate curiosity, enthusiasm, and a positive mindset toward learning in both academic and workplace settings.

Effective Communication: You are expected to communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally. This includes active listening, asking questions when necessary, and engaging respectfully with colleagues, supervisors, and educators.
