We’re partnering with a fast-growing international manufacturing business to appoint an experienced Supply Chain Director. This senior leadership position will take strategic and operational ownership of the end-to-end supply chain, supporting continued growth across established and emerging international markets. Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will develop a scalable supply chain strategy, strengthen operational performance and ensure consistently high levels of customer service. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who combines strategic thinking with the pace, adaptability and ownership required in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an end-to-end international supply chain strategy.
- Lead supply and demand planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics and customer fulfilment.
- Establish and embed an effective S&OP process.
- Improve forecast accuracy, product availability, service levels and OTIF performance.
- Build and manage a resilient network of suppliers, manufacturing partners and logistics providers.
- Lead commercial negotiations, balancing cost, quality, service, capacity and flexibility.
- Optimise inventory and working capital while protecting continuity of supply.
- Identify and mitigate risks across materials, production, warehousing and international logistics.
- Align supply plans with manufacturing capacity, labour, materials and customer demand.
- Support product development, commercialisation and launches across multiple markets.
- Develop repeatable supply chain frameworks to support entry into new territories.
- Establish clear KPIs and reporting across cost, service, inventory, forecasting and supplier performance.
- Drive improvements to ERP, forecasting and supply chain planning systems.
- Build and develop a high-performing supply chain team and external partner network.
- Champion continuous improvement, accountability and operational excellence.
About you
You will bring:
- Significant senior leadership experience across supply chain, operations, procurement or planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proven ownership of an end-to-end, multi-market supply chain.
- Experience creating supply chain strategies that support rapid growth and international expansion.
- Strong knowledge of S&OP, demand and supply planning, capacity planning and inventory optimisation.
- A track record of improving service, reducing costs, managing risk and optimising working capital.
- Strong commercial and supplier-negotiation experience.
- Experience managing international logistics, import/export activity and regional fulfilment models.
- A sound understanding of manufacturing operations and production planning.
- Experience supporting new market entry and product commercialisation.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Experience implementing or improving ERP and supply chain planning systems.
- The ability to operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on levels.
- Experience within food, beverage, FMCG, ingredients or consumer goods would be particularly valuable, as would exposure to outsourced or contract manufacturing.
