We are hiring a General Manager for one of the city's most celebrated cultural landmarks, an event space featuring a large-capacity live performance room, multiple bars, a terrace, and dedicated artist facilities with a late-night license. Strategically located within a prominent creative campus, this venue has built a global reputation for hosting breakthrough artists, legendary club residencies, brand takeovers, and high-profile screenings.
As the hospitality landscape evolves, this venue is entering its tenth year by undergoing a major transformation. We are pausing operations briefly to be reborn as a full-service hospitality destination, introducing an elevated food and beverage program alongside our heritage live music offering. We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive this new chapter.
This is a high-level leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operation of the site. You will be tasked with ensuring operational excellence, driving commercial performance, safeguarding the premises license, and building a high-performing team that delivers world-class guest experiences.
What You’ll Achieve in 12 Months:
- Concept Relaunch: Oversee the successful opening of the new multi-concept offering, delivering a seamless experience for guests and partners.
- Operational Excellence: Lead flawless compliance across all events, ensuring health, safety, and security standards are upheld to protect the site license.
- Team Leadership: Build and inspire a flagship team, guiding department heads to hit recruitment targets, manage labor costs, and hit GP goals.
- Guest Experience: Elevate service standards by proactively monitoring feedback and implementing improvements that keep the venue at the forefront of the industry.
- Commercial Growth: Maximize revenue through bar sales optimization, developing incremental income streams, and managing budgets with financial rigor.
- Strategic Communication: Ensure total alignment between Directors, department heads, and front-of-house staff to keep the business unified and purpose-driven.
- Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate operational risks through robust staff training and incident management procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Proven Track Record: Experience as a General Manager within a high-volume live music venue, multi-concept restaurant/bar, or large-scale event space.
