Note: We are specifically looking for candidates within the B2B Food and Beverage industry. We are currently not considering direct to consumer candidates.
Head of Sales
- Location: UK, field-based, with a couple of days a week in the office
- Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer
- Salary: £80,000 base plus uncapped bonus (around £120,000 on-target earnings, with room to go higher)
The company
- Our client makes the drinks behind the menus at cafes, restaurants and bars across the UK. They develop syrups, cordials and ready-to-serve cocktails in our own R&D studio, then produce them at scale for operators like Black Sheep Coffee, Gordon Ramsay and Hampton Manor.
- Syrups built the business. Now their alcohol range is taking off, and they've started selling in the US.
- A small team with big-name customers. Everyone owns their environment, works close to the customer and sees the impact of their work straight away.
The role
This is a growth role role after a considerable period of success. You will own B2B sales across the business, covering our syrups and growing alcohol range. We need someone who already knows the buyers in the cafe and quick-service world and can start opening doors within a short time frame. You will lead UK sales, working with our account managers and marketing.
What you'll do
- Managing pipeline, we are looking for some one who already has a book of contacts
- Win new accounts across coffee chains, cafe groups, QSR and wider hospitality
- Creating and leading the sales strategy, we are a NPD innovation house, so have a mix of catalogue and bespoke products, you'll need to be comfortable in both
- Close deals from your existing network early on, then build a steady pipeline behind them
- Sell both our product range and the idea behind it: better drinks, less labour and waste, more margin per serve
- Work with marketing on trade shows, sales materials and point-of-sale for accounts
- Report on pipeline and revenue, and help set targets
What we're looking for
- A B2B sales background selling into cafes, coffee chains or QSR, at a supplier, distributor or brand
- An established network of buyers and decision-makers you can bring to the role
- A track record of closing new business, not only managing existing accounts
- Comfortable selling a concept as well as a product list
- Happy on the road, in front of customers, most of the week
- Drive and pace that suit a growing business
- A senior role with real influence over how the business grows
- Uncapped bonus, with on-target earnings around £120,000 and upside beyond that if revenue supports it
- Developing within a high-growth scale-up professional environment
