Ensera Design is a world-class user-centred innovation and product development consultancy, specializing in the medical and consumer health sectors with offices in Bristol, Colorado and New Jersey. We are currently seeking a Senior Human Factors Consultant to lead the design, planning and delivery of high-quality Human Factors studies that support regulatory submissions across global markets. The role takes ownership of medium to large projects, helps guide Human Factors strategy, and ensures that work meets the highest standards of quality, usability insight and regulatory compliance.

You’ll be an experienced Human Factors professional who brings a solution-focused mindset to complex projects within regulated medical device development. You’ll be comfortable designing all aspects of Human Factors studies and providing technical and editorial review across the team whilst supporting business development in terms of proposals, client meetings and providing thought leadership. You’ll be keen to mentor more junior colleagues and share subject matter knowledge, role modelling collaborative behaviours.

Your skills and experience

  • Demonstrable experience in senior Human Factors roles, ideally including medical devices, digital user interfaces, packaging, labelling and instructions for use.
  • A high level of technical knowledge and evidenced continuous professional development.
  • Experience of leading a variety of projects to a high level of quality, on time and on budget.
  • Experience of managing and communicating with external clients.
  • Experience of reviewing the work of others in the team to ensure quality.
  • Robust risk management and project management skills including working within design control under a QMS.
  • Previous line management experience or mentorship experience may be desirable for this role.

The salary for this role is in line with our Senior band, ÂŁ53,000 to ÂŁ60,000. Please note that we ask you to provide your expected salary within the band as part of your application, this helps us understand how you view your experience against the role's scope.
