The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Location: London or Sunbury-on-Thames, UK (Kinly operate a hybrid working arrangement)

Salary: Negotiable (depending on experience), plus large company benefits and personal development opportunities

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9am – 5.30 pm (with some flexibility available)

Working as the Lead Audio Visual (AV) Commissioning Engineer you will take ownership of the commissioning process for complex AV and Unified Communications (UC) systems, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards of performance, reliability, and user experience.

As a technical leader, you will work closely with project managers, design engineers, and installation teams to verify, test, and optimise integrated AV systems across a variety of environments, including corporate, education, and public sector spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the commissioning of AV and UC systems, ensuring full compliance with design specifications and client expectations
  • Perform detailed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), including system calibration, configuration and final tuning
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across AV, control, network and DSP systems to ensure optimal system performance
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior commissioning engineers and installation teams
  • Deliver end-user training and system handovers when required
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve technical challenges and stay current with product developments
  • Support project managers in planning, scheduling and delivering projects on time and within scope
  • Maintain accurate documentation of commissioning activities, test results, and system configurations
Skills & experience:
  • Extensive hands-on experience commissioning AV systems from leading brands such as Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Cisco, Microsoft, Shure, Sennheiser, NEC, Poly and Zoom
  • Strong understanding of AV signal flow, control systems, DSP programming and networked AV solutions
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, project documentation and control code
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure
  • Good understanding of IT networks and protocols relevant to AV systems
Qualifications:
  • Relevant technical qualifications in AV, electronics, or a related field
  • Industry certifications such as CTS with manufacture qualifications in Crestron, Biamp, Q-SYS, Microsoft Teams, Cisco are highly desirable
  • Proven experience in AV commissioning
