Role: AV Operations Support Technician

We are seeking an AV engineer to join Kinly, working on a prestigious customer site. The AV Operations Support Technician will ensure seamless AV support across client meeting rooms, event spaces, and auditoriums. Responsibilities include incident management, proactive maintenance, managing software licenses, acting as SME on meeting technology requests, and regional site visits. The ideal candidate is a skilled, independent problem-solver with excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 3 incident management and resolution for all AV equipment and systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Support Microsoft Teams and Zoom, including setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and training.
- Manage digital signage systems, content creation, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with small-scale AV projects, including planning and execution.
- Manage AV software licenses, liaising with suppliers, renewals, and proposals.
- Support regional site visits, including travel and overnight stays.
- Participate in business continuity planning and activities.
- Deliver excellent customer service, documenting issues and solutions thoroughly.
- Collaborate with team members and mentor junior technicians.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, including manual handling.
Skills and Experience:
- Deep understanding of AV systems (audio, video, lighting, control systems).
- Expertise in conferencing platforms (MS Teams, Zoom).
- Proficiency with digital signage and CMS platforms.
- Networking knowledge (IP, TCP/IP, UDP).
- Experience with control systems (Crestron, AMX) is desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience in AV and VC in a corporate environment.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Mentoring and training junior technicians.
- Project management experience.
- Certifications such as InfoComm Essentials of AV technology or CTS.
