Role: AV Event Technician
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Exciting new opportunity has arisen on a famous and iconic client site in central London, working as an AV Technician.
Key responsibilities:
Events & Broadcasts:
- Liaison with management and clients regarding the exact audio-visual requirements for events.
- Operation of audio-visual equipment as allocated by the AV or Venue Management during events with the aim to provide high quality technical standards
- Positioning, installation and operation of equipment within event areas
- Perform all necessary pre-event checks as required for the event
- Support of video / audio conferences / Webcasts in support of live events
- Cooperate with specialised production and facilities companies in the provision of events and broadcasts
- Set up & support of Call Centre Network for Telethons, Emergency Appeals and Press Announcements
- Setup and support of AV equipment to the client in meeting rooms
- Assist with IT and network requirements for events as dictated by the customer
- Assist with support for video / audio conferencing problems. Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify
- Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly
- Proactive maintenance / reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly
- Testing and connection of communications and networking to equipment via patching of floor boxes and Comms room terminals
- Deputise for the AV Manager in the event of absence
- Supervise additional/ cover technicians and external Production companies/agencies
Skills and experience:
Essential
- Team Player with a positive & flexible attitude to the workplace
- Operating digital and analogue sound desks capability – Allen & Heath, Soundcraft
- LED Videowall, Video Projection & switcher Operation ability
- Good knowledge across a broad range of devices & applications Mac, Microsoft Office etc
- Experience operating remote controlled or stand-alone video cameras – Sony
- Complete understanding of signal flow in both audio and video installations
Desirable
- Experience within a Live music or Theatre based role
- Basic Lighting skills
- Operating vision mixers – Panasonic, Black magic
- Networking, IP & Wi-Fi
