We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Handyman to join our friendly team at
The Lakes Care Home in Great Wyrley.
This is a varied and rewarding role that plays an important part in ensuring our home remains safe, comfortable, and well maintained for the people who live and work here.
Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will be responsible for maintaining the building, equipment, and grounds to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will be practical, organised, and proactive, with the ability to undertake a range of maintenance duties and respond to issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work throughout the home.
- Ensure the building, grounds, and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
- Undertake routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Support environmental and waste management procedures.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain safe working practices and follow company policies and procedures.
- Participate in the on-call rota to respond to urgent maintenance issues when required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external contractors where necessary.
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.
