Sales Associate
The main objective of this position is to serve customers and recommend products to fill their needs through excellent customer service.
When not assisting customers, the focus will be on maintaining a tidy, well-stocked and safe work area.
Our goal is to exceed our customer’s expectations and to provide ‘the best customer service experience in PEI’.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greeting customers in a positive, welcoming manner;
- Noting suspicious customer activity and reporting it to Management;
- Helping customers find the items they need, answering questions;
- Sharing product knowledge, making recommendations;
- Suggesting products to complement their purchase;
- Placing special orders for customers when required;
- Maintaining confidentiality of store and customer records;
- Assisting customers with carry-outs or curbside pick-up when required;
- Working in a safe manner and maintaining a safe/tidy work area;
- Setting up and maintaining floor displays – keeping them well stocked;
- Assisting with the movement of overstock/promotional items to and from the warehouses;
- Assisting other departments as needed – customer service, stocking, cleaning;
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Self-motivated/able to work independently;
- Professional, friendly and helpful attitude at all times;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to work cooperatively with other departments as needed;
- Ability to work at a fast pace;
- Familiar with basic computer programs;
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
