Kinkally is looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager / Restaurant Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our independent restaurant. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on building systems, maintaining exceptional standards and creating a culture of accountability.
Responsibilities
- Operations & Systems: Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring consistently exceptional standards across every aspect of the business. Develop, implement and continuously improve systems, processes and accountability to ensure the restaurant operates efficiently, compliantly and profitably.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing team while creating a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure the team is well-trained, motivated and supported to consistently perform at a high level.
- Commercial Performance: Work closely with the Owner and Finance Director to monitor business performance, control costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Guest Experience: Lead by example to deliver exceptional hospitality. Ensure every guest receives a consistently outstanding experience while maintaining the highest standards of service, cleanliness, presentation and compliance.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has at least 3 years' experience managing a premium restaurant.
- Is ownership driven.
- Is exceptionally organised and naturally detail-oriented.
- Enjoys building systems and improving processes.
- Leads confidently while remaining highly hands-on.
- Holds themselves and others accountable.
- Thinks commercially without compromising standards.
- Has strong knowledge of Food Safety, Health & Safety and labour management.
- Wants to build a long-term career within an ambitious independent restaurant.
