Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a key role in supporting warehouse and supply chain operations, leading day-to-day activities, driving team performance, and ensuring products and materials are available to meet customer and business needs.

What will I be doing?

  • Support the management and day-to-day operation of Warehouse and Supply Chain activities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Warehouse and Supply Chain team members to achieve operational objectives.
  • Coordinate the planning, movement, and storage of materials and finished goods to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Monitor and optimise inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing stockholding costs.
  • Support supply chain planning activities to balance demand, capacity, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure warehouse operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse performance, productivity, and service levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve supply chain processes.
  • Analyse operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the delivery of cost, service, quality, and inventory targets across the warehouse and supply chain function.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans to improve operational performance and support business growth.
  • Contribute to the optimisation of warehouse processes, systems, and resources to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.

What do I need to be successful?

  • Experience in warehousing, supply chain, planning, logistics, procurement, or operations.
  • Strong People Management are essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using ERP systems - SAP is essential.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
