About the Role:
We are seeking New Product Introduction Technologist / Process Technologist to support the development, validation, and launch of new and existing products within our Butter, Spreads, and Margarine (BSM) factory. Working as part of the R&D team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and optimise manufacturing processes, ensuring products are delivered safely, consistently, and in line with customer requirements, quality standards, food safety regulations and business objectives.
What will I be doing?
- Collaborate with wider R&D, Operations, Marketing, Quality teams to support the development and launch of new and existing products (private label and branded).
- Conduct recipe trials in the factory to establish process control parameters, manufacturing instructions, to ensure that products can be manufactured consistently and efficiently by Operations team.
- Facilitate post trial evaluations by coordinating samples, reviewing organoleptic assessments & shelf life results.
- Provide post-launch support by collecting and analysing production data, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions to ensure product performance meets defined standards.
- Coordinate activities associated with the introduction of new products into manufacturing environment, including internal records and master data set up.
- Support the delivery of Process and Profit Improvement projects at site level, ensuring all changes are introduced in line with site capabilities while maintaining product quality, food safety, and legal compliance.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance process efficiency, product quality, and operational performance.
- Foster strong relationships with Marketing, Operations, and Commercial teams, ensuring customer care and adherence to our Purpose, Dairy Strategy, Vision, and Values.

- Relevant experience in NPI, process development, commercialisation or product implementation within food manufacturing.
- Degree qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science or a related discipline.
- Understanding of food manufacturing processes, factory trials, scale-up, validation and operational readiness.
- Project management and organisational skills: demonstrate flexibility & adaptability.
- Driven to overcome challenges and develop timely solutions.
- Numerical ability to record & analyse key process data.
- Highly organized multi-tasker, able to interpret data from multiple sources.
- Attention to detail with structured approach.
- Display tenacity, go that extra mile to achieve results and deliver excellent service.
- Able to play a key role as a high performing team
- Driving licence.
