We are establishing an HR Services Hub to support our sites and businesses in Ireland, the UK, and Northern Ireland. The Hub will deliver comprehensive HR solutions through technology and common processes for employees, managers, and business partners. This hybrid role will be based at our Ossett site in the UK and report to the HR Hub Services Lead.

As an HR Advisor you will provide support and guidance on a wide range of human resources matters, including employee relations, policy implementation, compliance with UK labour laws, coaching managers, recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and coach managers and employees on various HR-related issues and conflicts
  • Ensure HR policies are understood and implemented correctly across the organization
  • Oversee or support the hiring, payment, and departure of staff
  • Support and guide managers on performance-related matters
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations in the UK to ensure workplace compliance
  • Work with HR teams to develop and implement strategies for employee engagement and manage change initiatives
  • Ensure excellent customer service is delivered to all customers at all times
  • Act as a second point of escalation for complex stakeholder issues, providing guidance and ensuring prompt, professional resolution
  • Work with Talent and Learning team to identify people management training needs and support coordination and delivery as appropriate
  • Manage complex or large-scale cases with legal implications, coordinating the case management process using required technology and methods of communication, seeking informal resolution when appropriate
  • Coordinate and deliver training and development to People Managers
  • Provide evidence-based advice and guidance to People Managers on emerging trends and patterns, including absence trends and disciplinary or grievance cases
  • Provide insightful, data-driven reporting to customers to support and maximise business performance
  • Work across the HR team to deliver and improve SLAs and performance, demonstrating added value to the business
  • Foster a culture of service excellence, role-model behaviours, and coach other team members to deliver best-in-class services

Qualifications

  • HR or related qualification or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with employees and management
  • Thorough knowledge of UK labour laws and regulations
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
  • Detail-conscious, rigorous, professional, responsible, organised and methodical
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
