We’re hiring the leader who will convert one of financial services’ biggest regulatory tailwinds into commercial reality. Consumer Duty has made the estate planning gap in advised client books a live, evidenced foreseeable-harm problem for every IFA in the UK. Most advisers now know they need a specialist partner they can refer to with confidence. Few have found one.
Kinherit is a STEP Platinum Employer Partner and Consumer Duty Alliance Affiliate, working with over 4,000 IFAs - including six of the UK’s top 20 adviser networks. Every Kinherit plan is built by a STEP-qualified estate planner and completed through our sister company’s legal-tech platform - itself a fast-growth fintech with relationships across financial services and retail banking.
Within our existing network there is enough headroom to grow revenue three-fold, and the addressable network beyond that is at least twice as large again. The Head of Partner Relationships owns capturing that opportunity.
You’ll inherit a team of five direct reports from day one, with a sixth currently being recruited. There is a clear pathway to Director level, and real equity upside through our EMI share option scheme.
The role
You’ll own the partner channel end to end - strategy, execution and team performance. In the early months, you’ll lead from the front: working alongside your team on partner calls and account activity to build credibility before driving strategic change.
Your focus will be:
- Leading and developing a growing team of Relationship Managers, Business Support and Kinvault Support Specialists
- Identifying, pitching and onboarding IFA, wealth management and professional referral partners
- Owning the sales pipeline, KPIs and commercial targets
- Co-ordinating marketing activity across traditional, exhibition and digital channels
- Recruiting and retaining talent as the channel grows
- As a member of the Senior Management Team, reporting performance directly to the Managing Directors
What we need from you
- 5+ years in a senior partnership, BD or account management role in Financial Services or a related field
- 3+ years managing quota-carrying sales or relationship management teams
- Deep knowledge of the IFA and wealth management market
- Experience in both cold outreach and account development
- A solid grasp of B2B2C sales strategy and pipeline management
- Working knowledge of Consumer Duty and FCA distribution rules in an intermediary context
- The ability to walk in, build a plan, and execute with minimal hand-holding
- Knowledge of the Will-writing or estate planning sector, and an existing IFA network, would be a real advantage.
What’s on offer
- Performance-related bonus scheme
- EMI share options, available on achievement of agreed performance markers
- Clear pathway to Director level
- 25 days holiday plus 24 & 31 December and bank holidays
- Pension, critical illness, income protection and death in service
- Complimentary Will and End-of-Life planning + 30% family discount
- Funded professional development
