Join Camp Beaumont and help create unforgettable holiday experiences for children aged 3 - 14. As a Deputy Camp Manager, you'll support the Camp Manager in leading a vibrant multi-activity day camp, helping to ensure every child enjoys a safe, fun, and memorable camp experience.
The Role
- Support the Camp Manager in the day-to-day running of the holiday camp based at St. Nicholas’ School.
- Help lead and motivate the camp team, oversee activities and routines, and act as a key point of contact for children, staff, and parents.
- Play a vital role in:
- Supporting the Camp Manager with the daily operation of camp.
- Leading activities and ensuring programmes run smoothly and safely.
- Supervising, motivating, and supporting camp staff.
- Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all children.
- Assisting with camp administration, registers, and incident reporting.
- Communicating confidently with parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Stepping up to manage camp operations in the absence of the Camp Manager.
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children.
About You
We're looking for someone energetic, organised, and passionate about working with children. You will have:
- Experience working in a childcare setting.
- Experience managing or supporting a small team.
- A Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent: QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or working towards one).
- Strong safeguarding awareness.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and lots of enthusiasm.
- The ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure.
- Paediatric First Aid (training can be provided).
